Swimming Carnival
The Hillcrest swimming carnival was a great day. I think everybody that went had fun, whether they're willing to admit it or not. A lot of people just went to had fun, but a few people like myself went to compete. Overall i won every race for my age group (16yo Boys). But just because I was competing doesn't mean I didn't have fun. Overall it was good, They had good food, a pretty good pool, and good music. There was a wide variety of events for people to compete in, including;

Freestyle 50m
Backstroke 50m
Breastroke 50m
Butterfly 50m
Freestyle 100m
Individual Medley

But who can forget the novelty event! Although, it kind of failed because of lack of organisation, so everyone ended up just jumping into the pool and doing what they wanted after Mr. Muir tried to make us 'Dive for Treasure'. I think it could have been better if they had have used the somerset swimming pool instead of PBC Pool. Simply because it is a much better pool and closer to the school. Other than that it was a great day and Mr. Muir did a great effort of organising it. I for one am looking forward to next year!
